About Us.

Our Mission: Austin Parks Foundation is committed to providing the resources and partnerships that create and sustain beautiful and active parks.

We seek to fill the gap between what needs to be done and what our parks department can afford to do. Since 1992, Austin Parks Foundation has initiated, promoted, and facilitated physical improvements, new programming, and greater community involvement for Austin’s parks. Each year, Austin Parks Foundation generates millions of dollars in volunteer time, in-kind donations, and financial support for city parks.

You can help support our work with over 90 community groups working to adopt, maintain and improve parks by becoming a member.  For $35 or more, you’ll receive three paper newsletters as well as invitations to volunteer and other park events.  Join at www.austinparks.org/member

Our header picture shows one of our Zilker Tree Rescue project workday pictures – during five separate volunteer days, over 473 volunteers mulched over 450 trees in Zilker Park.
